The connector of the LS4 trailer has been exchanged from the old 7-pin version to the ISO 11446:2004 standard 13-pole connector.
People who did not have to use an adapter up to now will most probably need one for the new connector.
The LS4 is now parked in Terlet to enable Dieter to pick it up for the gliding camp in Leibertingen (26.05 to 10.06). If somebody wants to join him, there is still a place available.
Plane will be away from 26.05 to 10.06 (all including).
After several reports on low capacity of the LS4 battery #3, it has been repalced by a new one.
The left wing is still under rework, but can be used without problems. There are some small leftovers to be finished. Therefore the wing is still in building 9 in Deelen. If you want to fly with the LS4, make sure to get access to the building (meaning you have to find somebody who has the authorization to get the key from the guard at the gatehouse) to take the wing out. The trailer is at its normal place at hangar 5. Please try to bring the wing back to building 9 to enable us to finish the work. By the way, if somebody is interested to do it, you are welcome.

The tip of the left wing leading edge was damaged after an incident in CW13. During rigging, using the rigging help provided by the club, the rigging help carriage was turned over due to a wind gust while the wing was moved from the trailer to the fuselage. The wing touched the ground and slided over the concrete which abraded the gel coat from the leading edge of the tip on a length of approximately 5cm.
The inspection of the damadge by a technician showed, that the plane is still flight worthy and that there is no immediate need to repair it. Nevertheless, the decission was taken to fix the damage.
A second issue was found on the right wing, which shows a small delamination on the trailing edge of the tip. Decission on the repair of this part is pending, as it also does not affect the flight worthiness of the plane.
The wings are now in Deelen in building 9. Several small damages on the leading edge of both wings are as well fixed in the frame of this activity. It is assumed that the work can be finished in CW15.
Lessons Learned:
Even if the rigging help was designed to be operated by one person alone, please make sure that there is always a second person at the other end of the wing while moving it from the trailer to the fuselage.

During the first flights of the season, it has been realized, that the speed indicator showed a too low speed. This has now been confirmed by the service center and a new indicator has been put in place. This equipment is on loan and we have to think about the way forward to solve this issue.
